🌟 Employee spotlight: Robin Pinger 💫 We're fortunate to have such a talented staff, who bring extraordinary abilities and passion to their jobs every day. Sometimes that work is very public, like our education team leading courses in front of thousands of coaches annually. But, a lot of times, that work is behind the scenes. Like our member admin teammates, who process hundreds of thousands of registrations and do all the little things that help our members focus on the field, not their computers. Or our safeguarding and compliance teammates, who are very much soccer's subject matter experts, combing through a multitude of reports and cases each day. And then there's the marketing and communications team, which is a blend of public and BTS. At events, we're the ones holding the cameras, doing the interviews, nose in our phones on social media, crouched over laptops in tents, and always speed walking - sometimes running - from field to field. We absolutely love it. As our Creative Manager, Robin is a critical part of that team. She leads the creative side of the department and sets the tone for our branding, video and graphic design content. One of her personal superpowers is logo design. Fun fact: within a couple weeks of being hired back in 2022, Robin was tasked with redesigning the National Premier Leagues logo. She crushed it. Y'all know this. Since then, she's designed logos for our National Cup, id2, Player Development Program, and even dabbled with some member league logos (𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘙𝘦𝘦𝘴𝘦'𝘴). Without further ado, please enjoy this sneak peek 👇 into the creative process of logo design, and join us in congratulating Robin on a timeless design that will serve the id2 Program, its participants and our sport for years to come.
Logo redesign in action 💻 Two years ago I redesigned the logo for US Club Soccer's id2 Program to create a meaningful, modern logo that represents the strong brand of our identification and development program. Sometimes, less is more. You can inject meaning into a logo without all the bells and whistles, and the result is a strong, recognizable, and scalable logo. This is still one of my favorite marks I've designed. I love seeing kids get excited to wear this logo when they come to our camps. Shoutout to Madolyn Rusen for making me look way cooler than I am 🎥 😎
