I recently completed “AI Workshop: Build a Neural Network with PyTorch Lightning” by Janani Ravi and it was a great hands-on introduction to how neural networks are actually put together. What stood out most was the emphasis on the full flow; from data preparation, to model creation, to training and evaluation. Then how PyTorch Lightning helps organize that process in a way that mirrors real-world work. With a background in psychology, my main goal was to better understand how neural networks work and what it really means to start building an AI system end to end. I’m especially interested in exploring how these systems compare (and don’t compare) to how the human brain works, and this course helped ground that curiosity in something concrete.
