Congrats to our entire production team at CBSS, our agent Dana Dubay, and the amazing creativity of the entire Walrus team for its wonderful work on the Lowes Foods Brown Bear Brown Bag campaign. Nothing better than winning a Platinum Award from VIDDY for the final spots.
We’re excited to share that our Lowes Foods campaign just brought home a VIDDY. Huge credit to the Walrus team for bringing a standout idea to the table. Our job (as always) is to honor it and execute at the highest level. That kind of collaboration doesn’t happen by accident. We’re grateful for the recognition, but even more grateful for the team who made this spot come together. In the latest installment of "Walrus Dead Ideas that Never Made it into the World," one of our favorite assignments ever for CarMax. The request: How would you design a CarMax for an urban environment where a multi-acre parking lot is unfeasible? Our answer: a multi-level space with a constantly rotating set of curated car collections. We could choose to filter the inventory by: - Brand (Audi Week) - Year (Best of 2020) - Price (ex. <$20,000) - Color - Style (mini-vans/SUVs) - By local preference The whole structure would be glass so everyone outside could keep on top of the changing inventory. Not only did we get to imagine and visualize a number of different store footprints, we also designed the individual user flows for the full range of CarMax customer types. Alas it didn't go anywhere, BUT this is the type of problem that agencies are really good at solving if given the opportunity.

And that's a wrap on Advertising Week 2025. Very cool to see Walrus showing up across stages, podcasts, breakfasts, and dinners. Highlights: 4As StratFest Walrus' Deacon Webster and Grubhub's Marnie Kain's keynote, "From Pioneer to Provocateur: Building Grubhub's Brand Transformation." 4As's & Ad Age CEO Breakfast Walrus' Frances Lumpkin Webster joined 4A's new CEO Justin Thomas-Copeland, and AdAge’s Lindsay Rittenhouse for an "on the record" discussion. Agency Hackers inaugural NYC Leadership Conference Walrus gave a presentation on contract negotiation and compensation models (not as boring as it sounds, really!) Thank you, Abi Donoghue and Ian Harris A few takeaways from the week: 1. This business is about relationships Yes, we are all figuring out and using AI tools to make our organizations more efficient, but don't forget this business is about building genuine relationships with our client partners so we can all make the best work possible. 2. It's about the work Great to see so many agency leaders on stage with their clients talking about how their advertising campaigns are driving both short and long-term growth. 3. The most in-demand job at agencies is strategy And it's time to get back to the fundamentals of this role.

When Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union’s CEO Robert Dozier called Walrus for help as the financial institution was scaling in a highly competitive market, we jumped at the opportunity. A fully realized brand platform, “Feel The Love,” a new visual ID and advertising campaign later, the Palmetto Citizens’ brand is off to the races. One of the many greats parts of the gig is seeing Walrus’ work out in the world. The Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union is fully rolled out and looking sharp! Robert Dozier Chris Terlinden
