If you've ever scrolled through our games’ social channels and paused to comment, like or share – chances are, Ash Sevilla had something to do with it. Meet our resident Whiz of Wit, Maestro of Manuscripts and Captain of Captions dedicated to crafting content with personality and purpose! As a Social Media Manager at Warner Bros. Games, he wears many hats, and probably a cape or two. From building editorial calendars and writing blogs for our newest titles, to hosting livestreams and scripting voiceovers, he’s a true creative powerhouse. “I do lots of stuff…many hats!” he quips. (No seriously, he likes wearing hats.) Growing up on an island, he first started creating content at just 14-years-old and published a zine using the copier at his mother’s office. But he was always “obsessed” with games, and his eventual journey into the industry turned out to be just as unique as his content. “For many years I was a high school history and psychology teacher secretly producing a gaming podcast in my off hours,” says Ash. “For nearly a decade, I traveled around the country meeting exciting creatives and recording my adventures when I probably should have been grading papers. One day, an opportunity popped up to work in the gaming industry using the skills I had learned as a content creator and educator, so I quickly jumped on it and never looked back.” Since then, Ash has worked on some of his favorite IPs as a Community Manager, Social Media Manager and Host. One of his proudest moments? Helping to launch the mobile squad RPG, DC Worlds Collide, in the same week that “Superman,” the DC Studios film from Warner Bros. Pictures, hit theaters worldwide. “This launch was very different from all the others in my career in that our team was part of a major moment for DC and Warner Bros. Discovery,” says Ash. “I had the opportunity to co-produce and host a livestream on the official DC channel, interview renowned comic book writer, Gail Simone, and work closely with so many collaborative partners to make the launch a success. The whole experience, while intense, was so much fun.” And when asked what makes Warner Bros. Games special, he doesn’t hesitate: it’s the respect everyone has for each other. “There is no ego here. Just a group of highly dedicated professionals working as hard as they can to create great stuff,” he says. “It is a lot of fun to work with creative people doing different things to build something we could never build as individuals. It's pretty magical.” But when he’s not curating content or wrangling words to spotlight our games, Ash likes to unwind by enjoying a good burrito. Now that’s a wrap! 🌯 #EmployeeSpotlight #LifeAtWBG

  • Our games are made by fans, for fans – and the proof is in our talent. Meet Natasha Bates (she/her), our Director of Game Design at WB Games Boston!   After first getting her start as a Narrative Writer, Natasha has amassed nearly 20 years of experience working in the games industry. Today, she leads a team of eight Game Designers who create fun & immersive features, content and storylines based on HBO's Emmy Award-winning and Golden Globe-winning “Game of Thrones” series.   “I love how the medium of games uniquely lets fans become a part of the worlds and stories they love,” says Natasha. “Mobile game design is definitely where I feel at home now, and there is nothing better than getting to work on the Game of Thrones IP.”   Sure enough, her favorite project at the studio thus far has been working with HBO to prepare special “House of the Dragon” Season 2 content in the popular mobile strategy title, Game of Thrones: Conquest.   “We had to work well in advance of the Season 2 premiere to make sure time-limited events in Game of Thrones: Conquest released in tandem with each new episode,” recalls Natasha. “This allowed fans to experience in-game storytelling connected to the show as it was airing. It was an incredible initiative for entertaining and rewarding existing players, as well as growing the game with all the newcomers who joined after watching the new season.”   While Natasha continues to channel her love for Game of Thrones into her work, she also admits that she equally adores the Harry Potter franchise. As her top two favorite IPs, she’s read both series five times thus far and has them deeply internalized. (So challenge her in trivia at your own risk!)   #EmployeeSpotlight #LifeAtWBG
