As we observe International Overdose Awareness Day 2025, with the theme ‘One big family, driven by hope,’ we are reminded of the power of unity, compassion, and collective action in facing the overdose crisis. At Wellbridge, we care for families as a whole, knowing that healing reaches far beyond the individual. On this day of reflection, we are truly humbled by the countless lives we are able to save together each year. You too can save a life. #InternationalOverdoseAwarenessDay #DrivenByHope #EndOverdose #HopeAndHealing #FamilyFirst #TogetherWeHeal #Wellbridge #CompassionInAction #LivesSaved

About us
Everyone who seeks our help deserves to overcome addiction and enjoy a life of sustained recovery. That’s why Wellbridge exists. But these aren’t just words. Our actions are making them a statement of fact. You see, addiction never stands still. So, neither do we. We resolutely understand that addiction is a disease. And like all serious diseases, defeating it requires newer, better and more comprehensive treatments. By combining compassionate care that respects the dignity of our patients with leading-edge science, Wellbridge is doing just that. Only in this way can those suffering from addiction receive the individualized treatment that’s right for them. As a result, Wellbridge is creating the solutions that will finally liberate our patients, their loved ones and, someday soon, people everywhere from the trials of addiction.

At Wellbridge, healing shows up in all kinds of ways—and one of the coolest examples is growing right outside our doors. Our team and patients teamed up to start a garden, planting herbs and veggies as a way to connect, reflect, and grow—literally and emotionally. What started as a small patch of dirt has turned into something pretty special: a daily reminder that recovery keeps growing, even after treatment. Like the garden, our care is all about showing up with patience, intention, and heart. And just like those plants, the people we support continue to grow every day. If someone you care about is struggling, we’re here with personalized detox and residential care—ready when they are. #community #gardening #mentalhealth #recovery #longisland #newyork #wellbridge #healing

Yesterday, the Wellbridge team was honored to stand alongside Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine in commemorating Overdose Awareness Day and promoting National Recovery Month. We were also inspired by the powerful words shared by Steve Chassman of LICADD, reminding us of the strength and resilience within the recovery community. Throughout September, we celebrate recovery journeys, the dedication of providers, and the hope that evidence-based treatment brings. Together, we stand united for awareness, healing, and recovery. #RecoveryMonth #OverdoseAwareness #CommunityStrong #Wellbridge #SuffolCounty

This year’s International Overdose Awareness Month theme, ‘One big family, driven by hope,’ speaks deeply to us at Wellbridge. We know recovery is never just about one person — it’s about their parents, children, siblings, and loved ones too. That’s why we care for families as a whole, walking alongside them through both the pain and the healing. Each year, we are humbled by the lives we are able to save together, and we carry the memory of those we’ve lost close to our hearts. Last week, we held a vigil to remind us that lives can be saved — and to honor those we could not save in time. We were grateful to be joined by Denise Hard, Family Support Navigator; Gerald Dugan, who has dedicated over 30 years to the field of substance use disorder and mental health and is celebrating 49 years in recovery; and guest speaker Linda Ventura, Founder and Executive Director of Thomas’ Hope, created in honor of her son to promote awareness, education, advocacy, and empowerment. Together, we stand as one big family, driven by hope — for our patients, their loved ones, and our communities. #InternationalOverdoseAwarenessDay #OneBigFamily #DrivenByHope #EndOverdose #HopeAndHealing #FamilyFirst #TogetherWeHeal #Wellbridge #CompassionInAction #LivesSaved

At Wellbridge, we believe healing takes many forms. Together, our staff and patients built a garden—planting herbs and vegetables as a hands-on, therapeutic activity and a living symbol of renewal. What began as a small patch of earth has blossomed into a powerful reminder that recovery keeps growing, even beyond treatment. Like the garden, our care is tended with patience, purpose, and compassion. Each day it flourishes, much like the lives of those we support on their journey to recovery. If someone you care about is struggling, we’re here to help—with personalized detox and residential care designed around their needs. Call us at (631) 849-8686. You are never alone. #RecoveryJourney #CouplesInRecovery #Wellbridge #SobrietySupport #LongIsland #MentalHealthMatters
