Seniors in South Los Angeles now have another option for quality, affordable housing with the opening of Serenity — a new 50-unit, mixed-use community supported in part by financing from Western Alliance Bank’s Affordable Housing Finance Group. The development serves low-income and formerly homeless seniors, offering age-restricted units, on-site supportive services and community amenities. The project also includes ground-floor retail and parking for both residents and the adjacent Southside Church of Christ, which first envisioned the development two decades ago. We’re honored to work with mission-driven organizations like R4 Capital Funding, Southside Church, Concerned Citizens Community Involvement and John Stanley Inc., plus the city of Los Angeles, to help make housing more accessible in our communities.
