We are thrilled to share the incredible success of Louisiana's LA GATOR Scholarship Program, which received over 39,000 applications for the 2025–2026 school year! Of those, more than 34,000 have been deemed eligible for funding! This overwhelming response highlights the state's commitment to expanding educational opportunities for its students. We congratulate Governor Jeff Landry, the Louisiana Legislature, Superintendent Cade Brumley, and the Louisiana Department of Education for their visionary leadership in launching the state's first education scholarship account program. By prioritizing students from low-income families, those with disabilities, and voucher students, the LA GATOR Scholarship Program is ensuring all Louisiana families have access to a high quality K-12 education. At Odyssey, we are proud that our software powered the application, enrollment, and eligibility determination process for the LA GATOR Scholarship Program. I am thrilled to announce that the LA GATOR (Giving All True Opportunity to Rise) Program, Louisiana’s first Education Savings Account (ESA) program, launched this week! 🐊📚 After less than four days, the LA GATOR program has already received more than 12,775 student applications and 10,646 students were already determined as eligible based on the information they submitted. The GATOR program is designed to empower families with greater flexibility and choice in their children’s education. Through this program, eligible families will receive state-funded accounts to cover a variety of educational expenses, including tuition, tutoring, and specialized services. This is a major step forward in expanding access to high-quality education and supporting student success across Louisiana.
