Thank you to Building Impact and volunteers from Takeda. Five dedicated volunteers impacted over 1,000 people by helping at our Collaborative Food Access Hub. Volunteers packed bags of food, alongside our staff, which was then distributed to people facing food insecurity in over 40 locations around the Greater Boston Area. 500 total bags of food were assembled, which will feed 1250 people for 3 days. Today I was lucky enough to start the day with YMCA of Greater Boston heroes, our early educators, as they sought to enjoy fellowship and continue to hone their craft. Thanks to Linda Stansbury and her team for giving Lauren Reyes and I the opportunity to join them. I closed the day at the Parkway Y with ED Kevin Flynn and members of his team as our partners from Norfolk & Dedham Insurance, their great CEO Joel Murray and members of his team honored their amazing 200 year history by giving the gift of investing in their neighbors & continuing to express their values through their investments of time and treasure with YGB and other great non-profit partners.

Thank you so much to GBTA | New England and Delta Air Lines who came together to pack food bags at our Collaborative Food Hub in August. 19 volunteers packed 700 bags full of groceries, feeding 1750 people for three days. This food will be distributed to over 40 sites around Greater Boston where people are facing food insecurity.
