Excited to join fellow thought leaders next week at the Compliance in the Age of AI conference in San Francisco, hosted by Opal Group. I’ll be joining a panel on “The Regulatory Landscape for AI Compliance: Navigating Evolving Standards and Requirements,” where we’ll explore how organizations can stay ahead of global AI regulations—including the EU AI Act and emerging U.S. frameworks—and what it takes to operationalize responsible, compliant AI governance. I have seen tremendous innovation across organizations figuring out how to use AI in the right way. Today, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) issued its ruling in the landmark Google search case. We’re currently reviewing the judgment in detail, but it’s encouraging to see the Court recognize the risk of unintended consequences when trying to improve search competition — and not just for browsers like Firefox, but for the future of the open web. As this case continues to unfold, one thing won’t change: Mozilla’s commitment to an internet that’s open, accessible, and built for the public good.
