In early November of 2023, our RMA Gulf Coast Chapter hosted a virtual event on the topic of CAMELS ratings in the commercial banking industry. I personally-identified a certifiable-expert on the topic, and it became the single most heavily-attended event (virtual or in-person) in the long and richly successful history of our Chapter, with 300 registered attendees from throughout the United States.

I had the privilege of serving as moderator for the RMA Gulf Coast Chapter's October 2020 event, featuring credit risk management expert, Dev Strischek. The Zoom-based virtual event was approximately 1-hour in duration and Mr. Strischek's presentation was on the topic of Credit Culture in Commercial Banking. We had slightly over 200 attendees on the call, making it the single most heavily-attended virtual event in the history of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Risk Management Association.

In late May of 2019, I had the great pleasure of doing my “Your Career and LinkedIn” presentation to graduate students at the Jesse H. Jones Business School at Texas Southern University in Houston. This was the very first time I had the privilege of doing this presentation and it was a simply wonderful experience.

I was nominated for the Houston Business Journal's (HBJ) Top 40 under 40 Award in early 2019. This is an annual award bestowed by the HBJ that recognizes 40 young professionals in-and-around the Greater Houston area. The individuals nominated are excelling in their professional careers and through volunteer leadership roles.

In late October of 2018, we as the Board of Directors of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Risk Management Association (RMA) hosted a general membership event luncheon in the Galleria area of southwest Houston. I again had the privilege and pleasure of serving as 1 of 4 finance career panelists at the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business in October of 2018. The panel was moderated by the career center staff and consisted of 3 groups (1 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon) totaling approximately 1,200 students overall.

In August of 2018, I again had the pleasure of serving as a co-host for the second installment of LinkedIn Local Houston. We had the event at NUU Group in Southeast area of the city. The following week, I served as a co-host for the third and final LinkedIn Local Houston event. This was held at The Work Lodge in the Northwest area of Houston.
