“Upon joining the Weimer lab in 2016, I have had the privilege of working closely with Jon on a daily basis. Coming into a neuroscience lab with no previous expertise in the field, I needed to learn the techniques, methods, and background information quickly in order to work at a high level early on. Jon immediately stepped in and taught me essentially everything he thought would be relevant to my work. During the time that I have worked with him, it became obvious that he was one of the most brilliant scientists that I have ever met. He is an extremely hard worker, proficient writer, and critical thinker who seemingly always provides thoughtful insight even on topics outside his expertise as a neuroscientist. Anyone should feel very fortunate to have him as a member of their team as he will go above and beyond his duties to contribute toward a common goal.”
