Less than a quarter of women hold tech jobs, which made the event honoring 100 Women in AI one of the best events during #NYTechWeek. The room was filled with brilliant women like Sofia Symonds, María Noel Layerle, Sarah Pi, Kathryn Heyert Kuan, and others shaping technology's future. But we’re not just here to chat. We’re here to change the game. Being a woman in tech can feel lonely. We tackle biases that run deep in our systems. Research from Better Together Agency shows this. Biased data perpetuates harmful stereotypes. AI tools misrepresent Asian women as white. Marginalized communities remain invisible. This is exactly why women in AI are critical. We bring perspectives that challenge the status quo. We ask the hard questions about fairness and equity that others might overlook. We push for solutions that work for everyone, not a privileged few. The energy in that room was about recognizing our power to create change. When women lead in AI development, we see reduced bias, more inclusive design, and technology that actually serves diverse communities. These conversations are just the beginning. More voices are needed to build AI systems that reflect our world. Let’s keep pushing. Let’s keep leading.
