    WealthForge, which acts as an online broker/dealer helping link entrepreneurs with accredited investors, landed the top spot in Richmond BizSense’s fourth annual RVA 25 ranking thanks to 455 percent revenue growth over the last three years.

    The 2016 RVA 25 list ranked the top 25 businesses in the region based on average annual revenue growth from 2013 to 2015. Each company ranked had a minimum of $500,000 in revenue annually.

    Winner of the UBS Future of Finance Challenge – Aesthetic Integration
    At the Global Final in Zurich on 10th December, the judges chose Aesthetic Integration as the winner of the UBS Future of Finance Challenge. Their solution automatically analyses financial algorithms for glitches.

    2nd Place – Capital Preferences
    Second place went to Capital Preferences and their solution, which enables you to understand your clients more deeply, in half the time, by their decisions not their words.

    3rd Place – WealthForge
    Third place went to WealthForge and their solution, which provides an integrated solution of risk management, standardized processing and automated technology for issuers and intermediaries conducting alternative investments.

    Rise of the Rest

    The cofounders of WealthForge, Mat Dellorso and Fred Bryant, edged out seven other Richmond area startups Monday to win a $100,000 investment from AOL icon Steve Case.

    The announcement of the winner of the pitch competition was the capstone event of a day that promoted entrepreneurship during Case’s Rise of the Rest tour in Richmond. Richmond is the first stop on a five-city tour that Case is doing around the South, and the pitch competition drew about 300 people.
