The Y is for EVERYONE. The Valley of the Sun YMCA is not only one of the oldest nonprofits in the state of Arizona, we are also one of the largest. Born in 1892, before Arizona became a state, we serve over 100,000 families and are located in 15 communities across the state.

At the Y we value the little things, and believe healthy living is not just a fad, it’s a way of life. We are a community, and a family, about embracing today’s social responsibilities together. For over a century we have been developing healthy minds, bodies, and spirits.
The YMCA is so much more than a gym and is for everyone.
Through our initiatives, programs, and services youth realize their potential; teens and young adults prepare for college; families spend time and have fun together; people are healthier in mind, body, and spirit; job seekers prepare for employment; newcomers are welcome and embraced; a nationwide service ethic is fostered; and so much more. -

and activities of the engineering and science associations of Arizona.
ACESA was created in the 1950s by the leaders of various professional societies in the valley to coordinate and enhance their ability to achieve their individual society objectives. ACESA continues to support the societies by operating as an umbrella organization and providing a communications infrastructure.
Society representatives and other volunteers meet to exchange information and provide support for each other’s activities. Since community interfacing and various educational competitions are multidisciplinary, ACESA is the primary means of disseminating information and promoting these activities. Members can also broadcast their activity information (messages, announcements and questions) to the rest of the subscribers.
