The Targeting This client can essentially work with any business who can leverage social media for marketing purposes, so the TAM was massive. They’d seen good resonation with the real estate niche and decided to dive head first into targeting these firms who could use our services. 2. The Messaging We used classic outbound messaging framework for this client as we needed to make 2 things clear to each prospect to really generate their interest: 1. Highlight a specific pain point they experience in their professional life 2. Drive home the no-brainer nature of this client’s frontend offer (they have a really solid offer) Since this is a more “saturated” offering, the value and use case had to be made clear. Here’s an outline of the general framework we used: {FIRST_NAME} - {ICEBREAKER} {PAIN POINT RELATED QUESTION} {REASON FOR REACHING OUT} {OFFER} {CTA} Longer than most cold emails we’d typically send, but this framework resonated quite well with this particular niche. And yes, we created traditional “icebreaker” personalized intro lines with Clay for this campaign (it worked). 3. Bounce Rates Once we launched, positive replies we’re coming in, but we noticed one glaring issue: Bounce rates. We were seeing bounce rates upwards of 25%, which made little sense to us at first. Our accounts were freshly sending off 2 weeks warm-up, sending at low volume, lead lists were double verified, and scripts were thoroughly spintaxed + removed from triggering spam words. Thankfully, we spoke to the team at ScaledMail and they immediately identified the issue and resolved it. We ran into the issue of Microsoft placing our email accounts into a low reputation IP pool, so the team over at ScaledMail manually moved all our inboxes to a new IP pool with higher reputation. Immediately bounce rates went back down to regulated levels. Though this campaign still shows a 13% bounce rate, we’re back down below 3%, this campaign was originally at 25%+. — Bit of a rollercoaster this campaign was, but in the end we got back to stability and are now finding results at scale!
