Job Title: Chief of Staff to the CEO

Reports To: Robert Kyncl, CEO, Warner Music Group

Department: CEO

Location: New York, NY

Your role:

  • This person will support and enable the CEO in leading Warner Music Group with the utmost effectiveness and efficiency. They will have constant interaction with the CEO, and be one of his direct reports and a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
    • “Run-the-team” business operations
      • Own agenda for and help run recurring leadership meetings (e.g., staff meetings, business unit reviews, offsites, etc.)
      • Manage OKR (Objectives & Key Results) process across the entire Company
      • Own agenda and manage preparation of materials for monthly Board of Directors calls and quarterly Board meetings
      • Ensure delivery of regular CEO reporting (e.g., team updates, financials, operational KPIs, project progress)
    • Executive support
      • Work with Executive Assistant to manage the CEO’s calendar and maximize the use of his limited time
      • Ensure the CEO’s meetings are effective: Preview & provide advance feedback on teams’ work, prepare / pre-seed / pre-align stakeholders, follow up on and close out action items
      • Drive global and cross-functional collaboration: manage the flow of information and connect dots between the CEO & his direct reports, among the CEO’s direct reports, and across the rest of the company’s senior executives
      • Ad hoc presentation creation, memo writing, and data analysis
About you:

  • 15 years’ experience in strategy & operations, biz ops, transformation, program management, or similar type roles
  • Has been a chief of staff or similarly supported an executive
  • Highly operational, organized, and detail-oriented – the trains run on time because of this person
  • Experience successfully leading large, complex, highly cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders of all levels of seniority
  • High-EQ diplomat who is a master at reading the room
  • Determined, creative problem solver and diligent, dependable executor – failure is not an option for this person
  • Great storyteller & concise communicator: verbal, written, and in slides. Comfortable communicating at all levels and adept at tailoring the messaging to the audience
  • Capable of absorbing and processing high volumes of information, and synthesizing it and utilizing it to connect dots
  • Able to balance structure with flexibility
  • Able to operate autonomously, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Demands excellence from themselves and those around them
  • Strong work ethic and service mentality
  • Unquestionable moral compass, discreet, mature
  • Position requires being in the NYC office 5 days/week. Local candidates are encouraged to apply.

Salary Range

375,000

Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
