The Clinical Trial Manager will lead the operational delivery of one or more neurology clinical trials, with a strong preference for candidates who have managed epilepsy studies. The role is with a small biotech and covers study activities from start‑up through close‑out on a 12‑month contract.
Key responsibilities
Manage all operational aspects of assigned neurology trials, from start‑up through close‑out, against agreed timelines, budget, and quality standards.
Oversee CROs, vendors, and clinical sites, including selection, start‑up, performance oversight, and issue escalation and resolution.
Lead development, review, and maintenance of key study documents, including plans, manuals, and training materials.
Track study progress, maintain study metrics and risk logs, and provide clear status updates to internal stakeholders.
Ensure trials are conducted in accordance with the protocol, ICH‑GCP, and applicable regulatory requirements, supporting audits and inspections as needed.
Work closely with clinical, regulatory, data management, and safety colleagues to support patient safety and data integrity.
Apply neurology and epilepsy experience to feasibility, site selection, and operational strategy.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field; an advanced degree is an advantage.
Previous experience as a Clinical Trial Manager with clear responsibility for managing Phase 1–3 studies.
Neurology clinical trial experience required; direct experience in epilepsy studies is strongly preferred.
Solid understanding of ICH‑GCP and FDA regulations and of standard clinical operations processes.
Proven experience overseeing CROs, vendors, and multi‑center trials in a small or lean company setting.
Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
