Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Compliance Support Lawyer contributes to Jones Day’s efforts to review, modify and track engagement documentation between the Firm and clients. Specifically, the Compliance Support Lawyer will be responsible for the legal review of client engagement documentation, including Outside Counsel Guidelines, Master Services Agreements, and Information Security and Data Privacy Agreements. The Compliance Support Lawyer will be required to have a comprehensive understanding of Jones Day’s client engagement standards, policies and procedures (including those related to information security and privacy), and any jurisdictional regulatory requirements applicable our client engagements. Applicants are expected to be both strategic and tactical, with strong contract review and communication skills.
Required Qualifications:
Juris Doctor degree required.
Bar-admitted and in good standing in the jurisdiction the candidate resides.
Minimum of two (2) years of law firm or in-house or dedicated risk management experience, preferred.
Position is well suited for individuals with a well-rounded understanding of legal administration.
Previous contract review or information security/data privacy experience preferred.
IAPP CIPP/US not required, but a plus.
