Design Engineer- Gear, Jigs and Fixtures

Position Overview:

Our team is currently looking for a Design Engineer with a focus on gear, jigs, and fixtures for our client Honda Racing Corporation.

Responsibilities & Essential Duties:

• 3D and 2D design of automotive components, may support test cells engine or electrification design work.
• Design tasks will be for wide range of vehicle relevant projects including pinnacle and commercial programs.
• CAD software 3D Experience CATIA V6 a plus.
• Surfacing CAD skill a plus (i.e. aero surface body parts)
• Dealing (engineering/designing/hands on) with aftermarket parts for road vehicle a plus.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in 2 and 3-dimensional software modelling and FEA in jig, fixtures, gears for dyno test cell.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or possess permanent residency.
• Proficient with PC workstation hardware and CATIA Software.
• Performs work with minimal supervision.
• Manages time well.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and standard codes.
• Knowledge of Personal Computers (MS Office software)
• Knowledge of mechanical and cost calculation process.
• Knowledge of raw material codes.
• Strong Project Management skills.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
• Ability to accurately apply engineering theories to design drawings.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Working Condition:

• Santa Clarita, California; on-site
• Relocation offered.
• One-year contract w/possible extension/direct hire
