About the Role

We’re looking for a founding designer who’s energized not only by crafting exceptional customer-facing experiences, but also by elevating the internal tools that power our sourcing platform. You bring a process-minded approach — using thoughtful UI/UX to streamline complex workflows and make our internal systems feel just as magical as our outward-facing product. From reimagining interfaces to setting the visual language of our brand to empowering our internal team to source x50 more efficiently, you’ll dictate how Cavela is seen and felt.

We're looking for someone obsessive in quality, impeccable in taste, clear in vision, and eager to build.

Responsibilities

• Interface Design: Design rich, responsive, and innovative interfaces that reimagine what web apps should feel like in an AI world. Complex sourcing has complex design needs and we are looking for someone to reimagine what sourcing tools can be.
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Work side-by-side with engineering, leadership, and users to translate ambitious ideas and business challenges into practical, elegant experiences.
• Creative Direction: Own the look and feel of the brand, bringing a sharp, obsessive eye and impeccable taste to everything from interface design to our broader visual presence.
• Product Definition: Shape the vision and direction of Cavela’s platform, balancing the needs of internal teams and our users. Translate opportunities into clear product priorities that move the company forward.

Requirements

• Experience: 3–5+ years designing web applications or interfaces for B2B products. You’ve owned meaningful surfaces in complex, evolving products. Ideally you've designed internal tools that make complex problems easy to understand.
• Technologies: Mastery of modern design tools (Figma, etc.), with strong fundamentals in interaction, layout, and systems thinking. Bonus if you’ve worked on AI-native or data-rich interfaces.
• Mindset: Detail- and design-obsessed. Fired up about spearheading next-generation UI/UX and creating “magical” experiences. Ready to own UX and design, confront hard challenges, and thrive in a hands-on, early-stage startup environment.
