The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will serve as a key strategic partner to the CFO, executive leadership team, and private equity sponsor. This individual will lead the FP&A function, driving financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support informed decision-making, business growth, and long-term value creation.

This leader will oversee the development and implementation of financial models, KPIs, and performance metrics, and play a critical role in strategic planning, M&A, and growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Strategic Planning: Direct the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, growth targets, and financial strategy.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee monthly reporting, key metrics, and trend analyses. Deliver clear, insightful reports and presentations to executive leadership, the board, and private equity partners.
  • Financial Modeling: Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate company performance, profitability, risk exposure, and growth opportunities. Provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Performance Insights: Analyze business trends, performance drivers, and variances to enable proactive, informed decision-making across the organization.
  • KPI Development: Define, track, and monitor key financial and operational performance indicators. Partner with department leaders to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to the CMO and COO, offering analytical insights that enhance marketing strategies and drive location-level growth and operational excellence.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Create actionable management reports and dynamic dashboards to provide visibility into business performance. Translate data into financial impact and prioritize strategic initiatives.
  • Analytics Innovation: Advance analytics capabilities by introducing new tools, integrating diverse data sources, and uncovering insights that drive measurable business value.
  • Financial Discipline: Foster a culture of transparency, fiscal responsibility, and fact-based decision-making throughout the organization.
  • Cash Flow & Working Capital: Manage cash flow forecasts and support initiatives to optimize working capital and liquidity.
  • M&A Support: Contribute to mergers and acquisitions through financial due diligence, valuation modeling, and post-acquisition integration.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Deep business acumen, ideally within multi-site operations or private equity–backed organizations.
  • Proven track record of streamlining financial processes and improving efficiency through effective process mapping.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy—balanced by sound strategic judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Adaptive, resilient leader who excels in dynamic, evolving business environments.
