Director of Information Technology

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for leading the organization’s technology strategy, with a particular focus on enterprise applications, end‑user support, and operational excellence. This role oversees the full lifecycle of business applications, ensures reliable and high‑quality support services, and drives continuous improvement across IT operations. The Director partners closely with business leaders to align technology solutions with organizational goals while managing and developing a high‑performing IT team.

Salary: Up to $218,000 per year, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Applications Leadership

• Oversee the selection, implementation, integration, and optimization of enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other business systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into application requirements and roadmaps.
• Lead application governance, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational standards.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance for application-related services and solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system functionality, user experience, and data quality.

IT Support & Operations Management

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the IT help desk, desktop support, and end‑user services teams.
• Establish service-level standards and ensure timely, effective resolution of support requests.
• Implement best practices for incident management, problem management, and request fulfillment.
• Oversee asset management, including hardware lifecycle planning and software licensing.
• Ensure strong communication and customer service across all support functions.

Technology Strategy & Governance

• Contribute to the development of the organization’s IT strategy, policies, and long‑term technology roadmap.
• Ensure IT operations comply with security, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
• Develop and manage IT budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
• Monitor technology trends and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, security, and business outcomes.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff across applications, support, and operations teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Build strong partnerships with internal departments to ensure IT services meet evolving business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 7–10+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership roles.
• Strong background in enterprise applications management and implementation.
• Proven experience managing IT support teams and service delivery operations.
• Excellent communication, project management, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on operational leadership.
