Aaron Overhead Garage Doors
Director of Operations (General Manager)
Location: Suwanee, GA
Help lead a "customer service company in the garage door business."
Aaron Overhead Garage Doors is looking for a proven operator to step into a true Integrator/General Manager seat, someone who can run the day-to-day, build repeatable systems, lead people well, and scale execution while the owner focuses on vision and growth. If you've successfully led a home services business (HVAC, windows/doors, garage doors, etc.), especially in the $10M-$20M revenue range, this is your lane.
Aaron Overhead Doors is a family-owned, turn-key garage door company serving the Atlanta metro, headquartered near Suwanee/Buford with additional Atlanta-area locations. We provide repair, installation, sales, and maintenance for residential and commercial customers, and we've built our reputation on service, speed, and professionalism. We're proud to have earned major customer trust, including Best of Georgia 2025 recognition, and we operate with a high bar for quality and accountability.
This role owns operational leadership across the business: people, process, performance, and predictability. You'll translate goals into execution, create clarity through systems and reporting, and develop a strong leadership bench.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations across field and office teams to deliver consistent customer experience and strong margins
Build, implement, and continuously improve SOPs, scorecards, dashboards, and meeting rhythms
Own real-time operational visibility; maintain a live capacity dashboard and use it to proactively manage throughput, staffing, and scheduling
Own dispatch performance and decision-making; hold final authority on dispatch flow and field scheduling decisions to maximize efficiency and customer experience
Leverage ServiceTitan or similar home-services CRM tools to drive tighter workflow, reporting accuracy, and accountability across the organization
Own companywide KPIs (capacity, scheduling efficiency, callbacks, job completion, customer satisfaction, revenue, margin) and drive weekly performance accountability
Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management; develop team leaders who can run without constant oversight
Strengthen operational planning: staffing plans, scheduling/dispatch flow, field readiness, and inventory/vendor coordination
Own cash flow forecast accuracy and cadence: maintain a forward-looking cash flow forecast and ensure operational decisions align with liquidity and growth priorities
Drive inventory turns each period: manage purchasing and inventory strategy to keep stock lean, available, and turning consistently
Improve communication and cross-department alignment so sales, service, and install operate as one team
Identify bottlenecks early, solve them fast, and ensure fixes stick through training and process updates
Partner with ownership on strategy, budgeting priorities, and growth initiatives, then execute
Qualifications
Proven experience running a company or business unit with real accountability for results (P&L responsibility strongly preferred)
7 or more years in operations leadership, ideally in home services (HVAC, windows/doors, garage doors, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
Comfortable operating in a tech-enabled environment (ServiceTitan or similar CRM) with strong adoption expectations
Demonstrated success scaling operations and building systems in a fast-moving environment
Strong leadership style: people-first, high standards, able to coach with empathy and hold firm boundaries when needed
Data-driven operator who builds clarity through reporting, metrics, and cadence
Excellent communication and organizational skills; calm under pressure
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed

Base salary of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, based on experience
