Director Security Operations

We are seeking a Director of Security Operations to lead and evolve our global security operations program across cloud and enterprise environments. This role will be responsible for protecting critical systems, driving automation and DevSecOps practices, and ensuring rapid detection and response to security threats at scale. The Director will partner closely with engineering, infrastructure, and business leaders to embed security into modern cloud and DevOps workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead global Security Operations (SecOps), including SOC, incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
• Design and execute security operations strategy across multi-cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Integrate security into DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, promoting DevSecOps best practices and secure-by-design architectures.
• Drive security automation and orchestration (SOAR), leveraging scripting, APIs, and tooling to improve response times and reduce manual effort.
• Oversee deployment and optimization of security tools including SIEM, EDR/XDR, CSPM, CNAPP, IAM, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Lead global teams, including security engineers, analysts, and incident responders, providing mentorship, structure, and career development.
• Establish and maintain incident response playbooks, metrics, and executive-level reporting.
• Partner with risk, compliance, and audit teams to support regulatory and internal security requirements.
• Collaborate with IT, cloud, and application engineering teams to strengthen enterprise security posture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in information security, with significant leadership experience in security operations.
• Strong hands-on expertise in cloud security, DevOps environments, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience building or leading global or follow-the-sun security teams.
• Deep understanding of security automation, scripting, and orchestration technologies.
• Strong knowledge of modern security architectures and frameworks (e.g., NIST, Zero Trust).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale, global enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools and languages (Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or similar).
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and audits (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC.
