Position Overview
The EHS Director is responsible for leading the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives within the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a culture of safety across all operations. This role aims to minimize risks and enhance safety performance while promoting sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead and manage EHS team, providing guidance and support in the execution of health and safety programs.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate EHS considerations into operational practices and projects.
• Provide training and resources to employees regarding EHS best practices and protocols.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor EHS performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
• Stay current with EHS regulations and industry standards, advising leadership on necessary changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field a plus but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management roles, preferably in industrial, construction or manufacturing settings.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
• EHS Manager certification or equivalent is required; EHS Director certification is a plus.
• Experience with Avetta, ISN (or similar software) and field inspections is advantageous.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective EHS training programs.
• Willingness to travel from job site to job site, heavy field work.
