Standardize components, product assemblies and engineering methods:
Ensure cost efficient manufacturing of products
Plan and develop experimental test programs
Collaborate on and prepare engineering documentation:
Collect and analyze engineering test results
Prepare test reports and additional documentation for customer presentations
Collaborate with Prototype, Quality, and Production engineers:
Direct manufacturing of product prototypes for testing and evaluation
Product & technical support to production & Quality departments
Communicate all engineering documentation and request to Tokai-Rika Japan
Benchmarking, training development and other assignments:
Research and evaluate competitor’s products and technologies:
Perform benchmarking and create cost-reducing ideas
Review competitors product, track market trends & new technologies, attend trade & auto shows
Complete assigned special projects
Continuously participate in seminars and training classes:
Mentor, guide and advise Design Engineers I
Reporting and communications:
Ensure accurate meeting minutes are kept and supervisor is updated on all Customer visits
Requirements
Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Automotive Engineering
2+ years of experience in development and design of electrical assemblies
