RS&H is currently seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our team!
This position will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote. As part of the infrastructure consulting team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm by performing data compilation and analysis, researching, and assisting with report and/or study preparation; adjusting and correlating data; leading research and data collection efforts; writing sections for plans for projects of moderate size and complexity and preparing portions of project documents; serving as a project manager on small stand-alone projects, task leader on larger more complex projects, and/or project manager on on-call task orders; developing client presentation materials, participating in client meetings, and leading the delivery of client presentations; identifying, tracking, and leading small project pursuits and preparing discrete portions of proposals; and participating in industry events. This position will have annual sales goals and client management responsibilities and may also lead a small team of direct reports.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Must
Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited program and five years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
Requirements
Requires an accredited Bachelor's degree in planning, aviation, environmental science, or related field
Understanding of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), federal environmental laws and regulations, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Orders associated with compliance with federal laws and regulations
Minimum of 5 years of experience in preparing NEPA documentation (Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements) for airport or DOT related improvement projects
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is essential for use in completing assignments
Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS is desired
Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment and responsive to deadlines
Understanding of or strong interest in working in an airport/airfield environment
Demonstrated project management skills
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
Desired Completed Coursework: ecology, geology, biology, water resources/hydrology, environmental regulation/law/policy, urban and regional planning, noise and air quality analyses, and stakeholder engagement/public outreach
