What You'll Be Doing:
- Apply your academic background to support environmental and sustainability initiatives across the Southwest Region’s Aggregate, Ready-mix, and Stabilized Sand operations.
- Assist with environmental monitoring, sustainability reporting and planning, and reclamation projects.
- Support environmental engineers and land managers in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Participate in site inspections, audits, and data collection related to air, water, and land resources.
- Contribute to sustainability efforts, including habitat restoration and community engagement.
- Learn about permitting processes, environmental reporting, and land stewardship practices.
- Promote and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Current juniors and seniors pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Natural Resources, or a related field.
- Passion for environmental protection, sustainability, and responsible land use.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Combination of office and field work.
- Exposure to various weather conditions and industrial environments.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as needed.
