Department Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Events and Marketing Intern to join our world class team focused on marketing one of today’s most exciting technologies. In this role, you will collaborate with marketing peers and cross-functional leads to drive broad-based campaign strategies that expand brand visibility and advance critical business line objectives. Reporting to the Director, Revenue Generation you’ll be part of our exciting internship program providing hands-on real-world work experience and planned activities as a cohort, culminating in the end of summer intern showcase. Our team is highly collaborative and moves fast on executing new campaigns and ideas. We work hard but like to have a good time, and hope you share those values!
Position Responsibilities
Events
Supporting internal and external virtual and in-person events during your internship as well planning for Q3 and Q4 event programs, including but not limited to:
Tracking multiple project deliverables and timelines
Managing registration and lead lists
Data and analytics entry
Researching new vendors
Updating run of show documents
Maintain internal and external event calendar
Prepare event recaps and analytics for internal reporting
Write and develop event content for social media, blog posts, and website
Assist with the development of event branding and signage
Work on large-scale sponsorship and event programs such as the Stars & Stride Run and the San Jose Sharks
Marketing
Research timely news to support the development of new marketing campaigns and content
Work cross functionally with various teams within the organization as well as various parts of the marketing team including content, communications, branding, design
Communicate and promote new content being published both internally and externally
Foster employee engagement social media initiatives
Build event marketing plans including internal promotion of participation and external social media promotional plans
Develop and maintain trade publication database plus analyze previous content campaigns
Support aspects of announcements and launches, including digital media promotion, materials development and coverage analysis and reporting
Create compelling content and use social media content for the company’s social channels and use social media as tools to amplify brand awareness
A focused initiative to build an event marketing plan involving:
Templatizing plans for various pre/during/post event communications through various channels (internal, social media, etc.) to increasing presence and share of voice
Designing a social media toolkit with customizable speaker promotion graphics
Outlining pre-event brand awareness strategies to increase meeting requests and booth visits
Building comprehensive timelines to facilitate cross-functional planning
Analyzing post-event lead generations elements to determine success measurements
Minimum Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, events, business, or a related field
Must be graduating between spring 2026 and summer 2027
Desired Skills & Experience
Proven interest in marketing, events, and communications
Ability to juggle multiple priorities at once
Demonstrated teamwork skills but able to work independently as well
Passionate storyteller with a strong brand sensibility; enjoys finding ways to disseminate content through various multimedia formats (web, email, social)
Clear, effective communicator—verbally and in writing. You’re a creative wordsmith, able to craft crisp messages and adjust tone and style for specific channels or audiences
Possess an eagerness to learn and an ability to quickly ramp up on Bloom technology, messaging, audience groups
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and/or Canva is a plus
Experience with social media / community management is a plus
Working knowledge of PC business software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and familiarity with the Windows operating system

Bloom Energy is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The total compensation for this position is based on various factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience.
