Freelance Video Editor – Construction Projects

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled freelance video editor to partner on ongoing video production for residential construction projects in Los Angeles. The position involves regular site visits to capture project progress, including new builds, remodels, exteriors, and fire rebuilds. The ideal candidate will be responsible for filming on active construction sites, producing engaging short-form videos for social media, and delivering both edited content and raw footage as needed. Consistency, reliability, and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining a steady workflow and meeting project deadlines.

Deliverables

• Film project progress at various residential construction sites on a weekly or bi-weekly basis
• Capture footage of new builds, remodels, exteriors, and fire rebuilds
• Produce and deliver short-form videos (15–60 seconds) optimized for social media platforms
• Create before-and-after video content to highlight project transformations
• Provide raw footage upon request for additional editing or archival purposes
• Ensure all deliverables are completed on schedule and meet quality standards
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in videography and video editing, preferably in construction or real estate sectors
• Proficiency with camera equipment, including drones (FAA Part 107 certification preferred)
• Strong editing skills using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Reliable transportation for travel to various Los Angeles locations
• Comfortable filming on active construction sites and adhering to safety protocols
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
