Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement a global sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets, aligning with the company’s long-term objectives.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and other strategic partners to expand market presence.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a global sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring accountability for sales targets.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Revenue Forecasting: Develop accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics to drive informed decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and operations, to align sales strategies with product offerings and customer needs.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for major contracts, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the automotive industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing global sales teams.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Tier 1 automotive supply chain, OEM relationships, and market dynamics.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams across multiple regions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze market data, sales performance, and financial metrics to drive strategic decisions.
  • Global Perspective: Experience working in international markets, with cultural awareness and adaptability.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel globally as needed (up to 50%).

Preferred Skills

  • Established network of contacts within the automotive OEM and supplier community.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
