Job Description

The role of Lead Certification Auditor involves performing third-party audits in line with the company’s certification procedures and applicable standards. The auditor will have the authority to make decisions related to the audit process and will be responsible for gathering and analyzing information to make certification recommendations. This role also includes leading and managing audit teams and ensuring compliance with the certification management system.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct audits in accordance with company procedures, sector-specific schemes, and IATF 16949 standards.
• Utilize and uphold the Certification Management System in all audit-related activities, coordinating with Product Managers and the Accreditation Manager on any necessary changes.
• Lead audit teams during auditing activities and decide on the outcome of audits based on collected evidence.
• Gain sufficient experience across the company’s accredited certification activities.
• Assist in training other auditors and lead auditors.
• Participate in witness audits by the company or accreditation bodies.
• Maintain all required audit credentials and undertake additional tasks as directed by management.
• Adhere strictly to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Be available for potential assignments against other standards, such as ISO 9001:2015.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline is preferred.
• Qualified Lead Auditor with accreditation for IATF 16949; completion of an approved IATF 16949 Auditor/Lead Auditor course is required. Experience with ISO 9001 is a plus.
• Solid understanding of ISO standards related to quality, security, service management, and business continuity.
• Relevant experience in the automotive sector is mandatory.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Travel Requirements

• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, which may include both domestic and international travel. Weekend travel may be required to meet work demands.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000 per year, based on experience.
