Jumbo / Non-QM Underwriter

Certainty Home Lending is growing fast. Six months ago, we brought Jumbo and Non-QM underwriting fully in-house, completing our shift to a fully internal credit model. That move gave our team end-to-end control, faster turn times, and tighter consistency — and volume has been climbing ever since.

We’re now hiring an experienced Jumbo / Non-QM Underwriter, in California or in a PST location, who wants to underwrite complex files with a lender that actually empowers its credit team. What You’ll Do

• Underwrite Jumbo and Non-QM files with accuracy, speed, and sound credit judgment
• Apply deep knowledge of investor, portfolio, and internal guidelines
• Be a true partner to processors, loan officers, and leadership, not a silo
• Keep files moving and own your decisions
• Help shape how Certainty scales Jumbo and Non-QM as volume continues to grow

What You Bring

• 2+ years of Jumbo and Non-QM underwriting experience (required)
• Experience working at a lender with meaningful volume in complex loan products
• Ability to independently underwrite income, assets, credit, and layered risk
• Clear, decisive communication, nobody wonders what you need from them
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, fully remote environment
• No certifications required (DE/LAPP/SAR not needed)
