We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support divisional job cost accounting and financial reporting. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with numbers, analyzing data, and supporting operational teams to improve profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Review job cost coding, including payroll entries, purchase orders, billings, open/billed lots, and other divisional cost data
Support month-end close processes with the Division Job Cost Accountant
Travel required once per month to Southern CA site. Travel accommodations will be provided.
Collaborate with Project Superintendents to review labor rates, productivity, and waste factors
Prepare journal entries and reconcile divisional expenses
Assist with financial reporting and ad-hoc analysis using BI tools
Partner with Estimating to review budgets and recommend improvements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
3+ years of related accounting or job costing experience
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
