Key Account Manager (Remote, North America)

Overview

A global chemical manufacturing organization is expanding and has created a new role to support continued growth across North America. The company is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to oversee and expand relationships with existing distribution partners. This is a fully remote position with responsibility for accounts across the United States and Canada.

  • This is a mid-level associate/senior role


Location

  • This is a remote role, however due to time differences between corporate teams, Central or Eastern time zones are preferred.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of established distributor accounts across North America
  • Develop strategic plans to expand revenue and market presence within existing distribution channels
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with distributor partners and key stakeholders
  • Advise distributors and customers on a broad portfolio of products, with an emphasis on value-added solutions
  • Identify opportunities for growth within high-performing and emerging market segments
  • Collaborate internally with sales, marketing, and technical teams to support account success
  • Travel up to approximately 30% throughout the U.S. and Canada to support customers and distributors


Qualifications

  • Experience working with distributors and managing distribution accounts within a sales environment.
  • Must have Background in food ingredients, specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical ingredient, or related industries
  • Strong account management, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and execute growth strategies within existing accounts
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
  • Willingness to travel as required


Compensation & Benefits

  • $115,000–$130,000 depending on experience
  • 15% Bonus
