The function of the Lighting Technician is to set up, operate, and maintainentertainment lighting equipment. The ideal candidate is an experienced technician with excellent interpersonal skills who can uphold Clearwing standards and provide professional customer service both in-house and on jobsites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Calculates power consumption for systems, sets up generators, and understands 3-phase power.
Create and set up a networked system over ethernet.
Run/Busk a medium-sized show on Clearwing's console inventory.
Lead a large crew and understand union/house rules.
Collaborate with the Engineering team in the design & implementation of Intermediate Systems.
Able to set up and use a fall arrest system.
Performs on site rigging and can identify compromised rigging pieces.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and basic network problems.
Solder andterminate Cat5,3pin/5pin data cables.
Call truck packs in shop and onsite.
Ability to run crew onsite.
Assemble and build data racks.
Current Knowledge of Industry Standards and Technology.
Works with warehouse staff to prep, pull, pack, test, and maintain gear.
Assist other company departments as work demands require.

Skills and Qualifications:
Four (4) year's experience in entertainment lighting production preferred.
Working knowledge of lighting equipment in Clearwing inventory.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Forklift, Boom Lift, and Scissor Lift certified.
OSHA 10, OSHA 30 preferred.
Willingness to travel (occasionally on short notice), must have valid passport
