Manager Of Accounting
The Accounting Manager is responsible for preparing and presenting financial statements for individual business units (pharmacies) monthly and serves as the primary point of contact for the business unit leader/stakeholder.

The Accounting Manager is responsible for preparing and presenting financial statements for individual business units (pharmacies) monthly and serves as the primary point of contact for the business unit leader/stakeholder.
Responsibilities
- Manages a team of accounting personnel.
- Responsible for the integrity of general ledgers.
- Coordinates the completion of balance sheet account analysis.
- Prepares, verifies, and controls the entering of journal entries into the general ledger.
- Manages tasks associated with the general ledger (i.e. enter monthly journal entries, execute monthly closing entries, execute month-end general ledger).
- Reviews monthly balance sheet and profit-and-loss statements.
- Coordinates monthly closing and production of financial statements to guarantee timely reporting.
- Assists in reviewing and updating monthly closing procedures.
- Participates in the completion and issuance of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements/reports.
- Subsidiary Schedules: Reviews supporting schedules to ensure that the Company's accounting practices are being maintained (i.e. insurance, fixed assets, amortization of prepayments, etc.), and makes recommendations where applicable.
- Set-up bank accounts, credit card processing, sales tax accounts and certificates for new pharmacies.
- Applications, database, spreadsheets, and word processing required. Proficiency in Excel preferred. Proficiency in Excel required, SAGE experience preferred.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Ability to assess processes efficiency and implement process improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively and align team to achieve corporate initiatives.
- Able to adapt to change and support and promote others to adapt and embrace new ways of doing things.
- Able to challenge the status quo and contribute to implementation of best practices.
- Bachelor's Degree with major in Accounting or Finance required.
- 5+ years of experience in an Accounting supervisory or management role required.
- Accounting experience in a pharmacy or healthcare environment preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures on manual and automated systems preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of financial software preferred.
