Manufacturing Engineer

Adecco Permanent Recruitment has partnered with a manufacturing client in the automotive industry to find a full-time Manufacturing Engineer in Louisville, KY.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting process design, equipment specification, and production launches in a high‑volume automotive manufacturing environment.
• Driving continuous improvement, assembly process optimization, and lean manufacturing.
• Supporting automotive product and program launches (APQP, SOP readiness)
• Designing and optimizing manual and automated assembly processes
• Developing equipment specifications, RFQs, and support supplier selection
• Overseeing tooling and equipment acquisition, installation, and ramp‑up
• Performing line balancing, standard work development, capacity and labor analysis
• Leading lean manufacturing initiatives: 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, TPM, visual management
• Collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field
• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering
• Experience in automotive manufacturing or other high‑volume production environments
• Hands‑on experience with process design, assembly systems, equipment specification, RFQs, APQP, and SOP development.
• Experience with continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma/FMEA
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, MATLAB, LabView, Minitab, AutoCAD
