ROLE SUMMARY:
Blip is looking for a strategic and goal-oriented Operations Associate to help with daily supply-side operations including product forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, procurement, manufacturing, fulfillment & warehousing, shipping, and supplier relationship management. We are looking for a candidate with experience managing daily operations and who knows how to drive efficiencies on the supply side. The ideal candidate is passionate about data analysis and is a strong communicator. You are hands-on, with an ability to develop, implement, track, analyze and optimize operational efficiencies across multiple partners. You will report to the Head of Operations.
Support the management of BOMs and new item setup in the Ops Hub, 3PL and with retailers
SOP generation - document and improve operations, logistics and supply chain processes
Develop strategies to drive efficiencies and cost improvements across our supply chain
Oversee EDI setup (via SPS Commerce) and maintenance with our retail partners, ensure that orders and invoices are transmitting correctly and on time
Build tools that visualize performance against operational KPIs (COGs, OTIF, etc)
Supply and Demand Planning:
Own the demand and supply planning process for all items in the Blip catalog using existing tools to inform purchasing and planning decisions
Define inventory targets and maintain safety stock levels to prevent inventory stock outs
Track inventory of finished goods and components across multiple locations
Purchasing:
Place manufacturing purchase orders and ensure delivery need-by-dates are met
Build and maintain strong relationships with our external manufacturing and fulfillment partners
Freight Coordination:
Schedule freight shipments and monitor progress
Retailer Management:
GS1 barcode management
WERCs management
SPS Commerce management
Assist with retailer setup documentation
Oversee PO > ASN > Invoice pipeline
Review and dispute chargebacks
Fulfillment (Wholesale and E-Commerce):
Manage all aspects of outbound fulfillment with our 3PLs, ensuring that we are meeting or exceeding our supplier KPIs with our retailers (e.g., on-time delivery, carrier performance, issue resolution time), analyze trends, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
Finance:
Partner with finance and accounting on monthly inventory reporting and COGs analysis
Review/audit invoices from vendors/partners for accuracy
Miscellaneous:
Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to execute on key business initiatives
Support senior business leaders with analytical reporting needs on an ad-hoc basis
Work with CX team to answer ops-related questions
Assist with product development project management
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
3-5+ years of professional experience in an analytical, data-driven supply chain, logistics or operations role in a retail driven consumer products organization (CPG)
Direct experience with platforms like Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, TikTok Shop and SPS Commerce
Strong data analysis skills with previous experience with demand and supply planning
Thorough understanding of supply chain operational concepts surrounding production planning, purchasing, inventory control, freight logistics and 3PL operations
A fast learner with a love for continuous improvement - you seek to optimize existing processes and have a keen eye for recognizing when new ones are needed
An inquisitive mindset with a love for getting deep into the data to identify problems and opportunities
Excellent communication skills and an ability to foster strong cross functional working relationships
A self-starter who can be flexible and agile in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
Proven track record of taking ownership, analytical problem solving, and driving results
An empathic team player with a “no task too small” mentality
Previous work experience in a start-up or similar fast-paced, high growth environment
SALARY + BENEFITS:
Compensation includes a $65-85K base depending on level of experience
