Role: Performance Test Engineer

Contract

Rate: 50/hr on W2

Location: San Francisco Bay Area (Concord / San Francisco)- Hybrid( 3 days onsite and 2 days remote)

Job Description

Required Qualifications:

9+ years of Experience in Performance Testing and Engineering having strong performance testing expertise with analysis, deep dive, along with solid experience in Unix, Java, and some Python coding

Must Have Qualifications

  • Ability to develop performance scripts independently using LoadRunner, ALM/Performance Center or any other newer/older load testing tools.
  • Ability to design, execute and analyze different Load, Stress, Break, Soak and Chaos testing scenarios.
  • Hands-on use of APM & other monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Tanzu Application Services (TAS) and OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
  • Hands on experience with Thread Dumps, Heap Dumps and GC Analysis (JMC/JFR experience a big plus).
  • Understanding of AI concepts including LLMs, RAG, Vector databases.
  • Understanding of system internals and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Solid programming skills in Python and Python libraries (e.g., Flask, Streamlit)
  • Having work experience in 'Service Virtualization'
  • Have a complete understanding with hands-on experience in all aspects of Performance Testing and Engineering duties
  • Ability to determine bottlenecks using tool & analysis when facing application performance issues and reporting RCA to stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills.
