We're currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Permit Coordinator to join our dynamic team.
Position Summary
The Permit Coordinator is responsible for managing, tracking, and securing necessary permits for projects to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role involves coordination with project teams, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate timely permit approvals and minimize project delays.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, submit, and track permit applications for various projects.
Serve as the point of contact with city, county, and state permitting authorities.
Monitor and follow up on permit statuses to ensure timely approvals.
Review permit requirements and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
Maintain organized records of all permits, correspondence, and approvals.
Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., engineering, construction) to gather necessary information for applications.
Track and report on permitting timelines, deadlines, and expiration dates.
Stay up to date on changes in regulations and permitting requirements.
Assist with resolving permitting issues and responding to agency requests for additional information.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to permits.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate or bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
2+ years of experience in permit coordination, project administration, or regulatory compliance (industry-specific experience preferred).
Familiarity with local, state, and federal permitting processes.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of zoning, land use, and environmental regulations.
Previous experience working with utility or construction projects.
Salary: $26 - $28 per hour
