We are seeking a part-time PR Manager to support the development and execution of communications and media strategies across our client portfolio. This role is ideal for an early- to mid-career PR professional who is highly organized, proactive, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment.
The ideal candidate has strong writing skills, a foundational understanding of media relations, and the confidence to manage day-to-day PR activities while contributing strategically to client goals.
Hours & Schedule
15–20 hours per week
Flexible scheduling with the ability to manage hours independently
Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of marketing communications strategies aligned with client objectives
Pitch and secure media placements across print, broadcast, and digital outlets
Build and maintain relationships with local and regional media contacts; assist with national outreach as appropriate
Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, and client talking points
Monitor media coverage and assist with reporting on PR results
Stay informed on industry trends and proactively identify timely media opportunities
Collaborate with internal team members and freelance support as needed
Qualifications / Skills
1–3 years of professional experience in public relations, communications, or a related field
Demonstrated success securing media coverage at the local or regional level
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Experience with social media platforms and digital content
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
