As Regional CDO, You Will
Inspire and grow a culture of philanthropy that fuels the Red Cross mission across the National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region.
Lead efforts to strengthen and expand our donor base, cultivating relationships with the region’s most generous and engaged supporters.
Partner closely with the Regional Executive to drive a revenue-oriented culture based on bold, market-driven goals.
Serve as a visible ambassador of the Red Cross in the community, representing our mission with donors, civic leaders, and partners.
Lead and mentor a high-performing team, ensuring excellence through coaching, development, and accountability.
Collaborate with volunteer leaders and board members to plan and implement innovative fundraising strategies.
Leading the development team is one of the most important aspects of the Regional Chief Development Officer role. As CDO, you won’t just set strategy — you’ll inspire, coach, and empower a talented team of fundraising professionals. By providing mentorship, clear direction, and accountability, you’ll help them grow individually and collectively, ensuring that together you deliver the resources needed to advance the mission of the American Red Cross.
The salary range for this position is (Washington, DC): $163,000 - $173,000 + incentive.
