Ripple Effect Artists (REA) is a New York City based theatre company that utilizes art to address social injustice through theatre productions, films, and radio performances. The organization aims to inspire intergenerational change and push audiences from apathy to action. Rooted in theatre, REA asserts that art has the power to transcend barriers and dismantle hate.
Role Description
This is a volunteer remote role for a Volunteer Board Member at Ripple Effect Artists. The Board Member will be responsible for participating in board meetings, providing strategic input, fundraising efforts, a give/get requirement of $5k/year, and supporting the mission of addressing social injustice through arts.
Qualifications
Familiarity with nonprofit governance and board structures
Experience in fundraising and donor relations
Strategic planning and decision-making skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting
Passion for social justice and the arts
Knowledge of Autodesk Maya, Lighting, Compositing, Animation, and Game Development is a plus
Previous board or volunteer experience is beneficial
