The Tree Care Assistant will start their day at Pope Farm Nursery, but work will work will primarily be at various Parks across Montgomery County. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to enhancing and beautifying the vast Parks system in Montgomery County. What The Job Will Involve

• Works as part of a team performing general landscaping in various Parks across Montgomery County.
• General landscaping duties include tree watering, mulching, pruning, weed removal, tree harvesting and planting.
• Responsible for installation and maintenance of landscape beds.
• Operates landscape maintenance equipment such as: mowers, string-trimmers, and various other hand-tools.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in another language a plus!
• Valid driver's license in accordance with both State and Commission rules and regulations. Driver's licenses must be unencumbered by restrictions, revocations, suspensions, or points that could limit the employee's ability to drive Commission vehicles or perform driving duties required of the position
