We’re looking for a Senior Data Architect who can translate messy, real-world data challenges into clean, connected, sustainable systems. Someone who thrives at the intersection of data modeling, integration strategy, and platform architecture—and who understands not just how data moves, but how it behaves across tools, teams, and time.

This role is right for you if you love designing modern data ecosystems, enjoy presenting technical thinking to clients, and want to own data architecture for enterprise organizations that expect excellence. You’ll join Block+Tackle at the Senior Consultant level and serve as a lead voice across high-visibility delivery.

What You’ll Work On

Architecture + Data Strategy

• Design enterprise-grade data architectures across AWS, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, SQL Server, Postgres, and cloud-native pipelines.
• Build scalable, self-healing, sustainable patterns for data movement, storage, and activation.
• Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support marketing, analytics, and operational use cases.
• Establish standards that ensure consistency, lineage, and durability across systems.

Integration + ETL/ELT Foundations

• Architect ETL/ELT pipelines that reduce friction and ensure reliable, high-quality data (API-based, batch, event-driven).
• Validate and enforce data consistency across platforms like SFDC, Adobe, MAPs, CDPs, and downstream activation tools.
• Build integration frameworks that support identity resolution, taxonomy alignment, and multi-system synchronization.
• Review implementation choices to ensure alignment with data modeling and governance principles.

Platform Expertise + Implementation Guidance

• Provide architectural oversight across cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, GBQ), cloud environments (AWS, Azure), SQL databases, and marketing/CRM systems.
• Translate functional requirements into durable data solutions—schemas, tables, transformations, APIs, and system interactions.
• Guide technical teams on implementation details, query patterns, orchestration logic, and data quality controls.

Client Leadership + Program Delivery

• Lead data architecture workstreams for 1–3 complex engagements at a time.
• Present architectural direction, trade-offs, and feasibility assessments clearly to client audiences.
• Provide solution assurance and unblock engineering, analytics, and MOPS teams by creating clear patterns and standards.
• Bring calm, clarity, and structure to ambiguous technical environments.

Pre-Sales + Scoping Support

• Support discovery, technical framing, sizing, and SOW development.
• Produce feasibility assessments, POVs, ROM estimates, and architectural write-ups.
• Help shape proposals that reflect both modern design and operational reality.

How You’ll Show Up

• Own complex data architecture workstreams with autonomy.
• Serve as a trusted technical voice in client conversations.
• Bring structure and simplicity to complex data ecosystems.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Analytics, MOPS, and Strategy teams.
• Raise the technical bar through documentation, standards, and reusable frameworks.
• Deliver predictably and identify risks early.
• Mentor teammates and elevate internal data capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

Architecture + Systems Thinking

• Expert in designing scalable, sustainable, and self-healing data ecosystems.
• Deep experience with data modeling (conceptual → logical → physical), lineage, and governance.

Integration + ETL/ELT Fluency

• Strong command of modern ELT/ETL patterns, APIs, event architectures, and batch processing.
• Skilled in ensuring cross-platform data consistency, quality, and reconciliation.

Platform Expertise

• Hands-on experience with:

AWS, Azure, SQL Server, Postgres, Snowflake, BigQuery, SFDC, Adobe, APIs and cloud data pipelines.

Client Leadership

• Confident presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Able to ground architectural choices in business value and operational impact.

Project Delivery

• Reliable owner of technical workstreams; strong communicator; able to unblock teams and drive progress.

Consulting Mindset

• Comfortable in fast-moving environments where clarity, precision, and pragmatism matter.
