What do you do?
- Lead the development and growth of a profitable underwriting program in your specialty area
- Cultivate and expand broker relationships across key markets to drive new submissions and renewals
- Design coverage strategies, pricing models, and risk appetites aligned with company objectives
- Partner with internal stakeholders (claims, actuarial, ops) to ensure sound underwriting discipline
- Analyze performance metrics, loss ratios, and GWP growth to refine underwriting strategy
- Represent the company in the marketplace as a trusted, forward-thinking underwriting leader
What do you need?
- 10+ years’ underwriting experience with proven track record of building profitable books of business
- Established and active broker network with strong industry relationships
- Entrepreneurial mindset — thrives in a build-from-scratch, high-trust environment
- Demonstrated ability to grow Gross Written Premium (GWP) and maintain underwriting profitability
- Strong market knowledge in one or more commercial lines (ideally Cyber)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
- The drive to create and own something meaningful in the specialty insurance landscape
