We are seeking a skilled Systems Technician to support and maintain the company’s computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure. This full-time role is ideal for an IT professional with strong technical troubleshooting abilities and a commitment to ensuring smooth, secure, and efficient daily operations. The successful candidate will install and configure hardware, monitor system performance, resolve technical issues, and provide hands-on support to end users across the organization. This position may require occasional travel to company sites for hardware deployment or troubleshooting needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Administration & Maintenance:
Install, configure, and maintain computers, servers, and networking equipment.
Monitor system performance and conduct routine maintenance, updates, and patches.
Assist with system upgrades, migrations, and technology deployments.
Manage data backups, recovery processes, and support disaster recovery planning.
Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, updates, and procedures.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Provide timely technical support to end users for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and business applications.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and data protection practices.
Collaboration & Vendor Support:
Work closely with IT team members to support company-wide technology needs.
Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve complex issues and coordinate equipment or software repairs.
Support IT asset management and contribute to continual service improvement initiatives.
Working Conditions:
Work performed in an office and technical environment.
Occasional travel may be required for equipment installation, maintenance, or support.
Must be able to lift and transport computer equipment (up to 40 lbs.) when needed.
May require occasional evening or weekend work during system updates or issue resolution.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of tech support experience
Active Directory
CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Professional.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
Experience with IT asset management and ticketing systems.
