Flow through the kanban board
- Let's follow the workflow of our example user story using a Kanban board. Here you can see the starting point for the team when they concluded their iteration planning event. They have six stories they plan to do this iteration, one of them being our example story. If the iteration goes as planned, the team will pull each of the six stories into the workflow as they have capacity. The team does not start working on all the stories simultaneously on day one. What they will do is select which of the six stories they will begin working on, pull them into the workflow, and when completed, look at the remaining stories in the to do column, pulling the next into the flow and starting working on it. Let's pull our example story into the process and begin working on it. In this board setup, a story is moved directly into the in development state when it is pulled from the to do holding queue.
