- A group debrief can help you efficiently interpret data and move on to next steps. Set aside at least an hour after data collection and invite everyone who is able to participate. Have everyone share their key thoughts on each goal or hypothesis and any additional observations. Discuss the priority of each finding, and then end with a brainstorming session on the highest-priority items. I typically begin by giving everyone three to five minutes to write down individual observations. People can include anything that they noted or think is worth discussing, whether it was directly related to a hypothesis or a new observation. Think back to the hypothesis we said about business expenses. Maybe you observed that people who sold products wanted recurring invoices, but each of the service provided noted that they never have a need to send a recurring invoice.
